Jane Gentry Vance

Jane Gentry Vance, Kentucky's Poet Laureate, will read her new poem written for Kentucky's Abraham Lincoln bicentennial. Jane Gentry Vance writes and publishes a Jane Gentry, and as Kentucky’s new Poet Laureate, tours Kentucky speaking about her poetry, other writers’ poetry, and “the importance of writing and literature in the rich culture of Kentucky.”

She is the author of: A Garden in Kentucky (Louisiana State University Press, 1995), A Year in Kentucky (Press Eight Seventeen, 2005), and Portrait of the Artist as a White Pig (Louisiana State University Press, 2006).
